Update on my scraphouse

I wasn´t quite pleased with the solution in the northwest corner of the house where I keep my armchair. I had three Helmer drawers next to it but they didn´t really fit in.

I needed them close to the kitchen table that replaced the original plan with a desk area below the west window. I skipped it since I needed more storage and put an Expedit shelf there instead. I was going to have those Helmer drawers under that desk so keeping them next to the armchair was kind of an emergency solution.

Embarrassingly enough I discovered pretty quickly that I ran out of deskarea and needed the extra leaf on the kitchentable all the time. So I moved the Helmer drawers and the leaf is now used permanently...

I think it looks quite ok and I get all the stuff much closer to the table. Fourteen of the Helmer drawers are now filled up with paper roses, organized by colour. Here are some examples...

The original plan included bringing out our old tv bench that´s been taking up space in our living room. So now it´s in the position that it was on the drawing board last year. A bit tight, but I certainly like it better.
